Vanity

Vanity is the fourth original show written, directed and performed by Edoardo.
Vanity follows the story of an actor wants to kill their character, but to kill a story every single person who’s heard it has to die.
Trauma can’t be ignored. If it is, it haunts people until the end of their life. Virgo, a young aspiring actor, has faced emotional abuse most of their life and has used their love for acting to deal with it. However, storytelling is powerful and can be triggering if one isn’t emotionally stable enough.

Vanity explores Virgo’s past, present and their inner battle against a character they play. Sensuality, dance and original dark pop music are blank pages on which Vanity‘s story is written.

Experience of…

I can personally attest Edoardo Tesio's artistic genius. The show he built was unique, charming, and mesmerizing, with a hint of humor. Everything from the script, to the costumes, to the lights was outstanding.

I want to thank Edoardo personally for creating a space where everyone was given a chance to collaborate and have a voice. There environment he created allowed for a free flow of ideas that allows the show to be so complex.

Creating a space to talk about the external trauma and abuse that can occur within the development of queer identity, as well as the impact it has on mental health, in such a transformative theatrical context like Vanity is something that I am honored to be a part of.
